Applications for the 2013 edition of The Nutcracker Market are now open!

The fourth edition of the Market will be held from November 28 to December 8, 2013 , in the mall of the Palais des congrès de Montréal.

Submit your application now and get priority for the selection of your booth.
The next round of selection will be made on July 2nd, and the last round will be made on September 2nd.

Filling out an application does not mean that you are accepted into the Market. After reviewing your application, written notice of space availability will be sent to you within a week following each deadline.

Claude André Hébert launches Clara perfume

September 2010 – Claude André Hébert is pleased to join forces with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal in launching a perfume for girls inspired by young Clara from The Nutcracker ballet. This is the first perfume created for the ballet company. Twenty per cent of the profits will go to the company’s Nutcracker Fund for Children.

On sale at The Nutcracker Market

The launch of Clara Perfume will take place on November 24, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, during the pre-opening cocktail party for The Nutcracker Market, and will be on sale for $45 at this event until December 5, 2010. It will then be available at the sales outlets of Claude André Hébert (Lola et les autres, 165 Saint-Paul W.) and at Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal (4816 Rivard St.).

A pre-opening cocktail party presided by Mr. Michel Leblanc, President and CEO of the Board of Trade of Metropolitain Montreal, in presence of spokesperson Mrs. Dorothée Berryman, actress, singer and radio host at “Espace musique” (Radio-Canada) and with distinguished guests and partners, was held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal. A cocktail reception was offered, followed by a presale evening.

September 2010 – Who doesn’t know Dorothée Berryman? After a sparkling theatrical debut as Eliza Doolittle in G.B. Shaw’s Pygmalion, she went on to give unforgettable performances on television and in film. Dorothée Berryman has also enjoyed great success as a singer, appearing at the Montreal International Jazz Festival on six occasions. In addition, for a seventh season, she can be heard on Radio-Canada’s Espace musique, where she shares her musical selections and love of jazz with her many faithful listeners every Saturday and Sunday.

The Nutcracker Fund for Children

The Nutcracker Fund for Children was created 15 years ago by Les Grands Ballets to allow underprivileged children to attend a free performance of The Nutcracker. The Ministère de l’Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport du Québec has since joined us, choosing schools at random from Montreal’s most disadvantaged communities to take part in the program. Thanks to generous contributions from businesses and individuals, 19,000 children have so far experienced this unique holiday magic.
