The Nutcracker Market:
For the benefit of The Nuctracker Fund for Children

10% of all exhibitors’ proceeds go to Les Grands Ballets’ Nutcracker Fund for Children

This non-profit Christmas market, Montréal’s first, was launched in 2010 by Les Grands Ballets. As the Holiday season approaches, it offers a unique shopping format and the best gift ideas for each and everyone. This year, over 70,000 visitors are expected to visit this gift hunter’s paradise! In so doing, they are helping a good cause: 10% of the merchant’s pre-tax sales and all revenues earned by Les Grands Ballets during the market will go to The Nutcracker Fund for Children. This fund allows children from underpriviledged neighbourhoods to attend educational workshops and a performance of the ballet, as well as towards production costs of The Nutcracker.

"For the past 5 years, The Nutcracker Market has been inviting the public to stock up on gifts in a fair where one can find a multitude of products by local artists."

− Caroline Bertrand, DécorMag, 2014

"What gives the heart and soul to this fairy-like market is that it was created for a great cause: to allow children from underpriviledged neighbourhoods to attend educational workshops and a performance of the The Nutrcracker ballet."

− Les Zurbaines, 2013

"One of the most beautiful markets is now taking place at the Palais des congrès de Montréal, bringing with it a kind of magical enchantment to the city’s downtown. Yes, none other than the famous Nutcracker Market!"
